The following are comments from a previous Tour.
I thought it was a nice scenic
ride.... the first day was a little challenging ... The food was spectacular!
one of the best catered rides I have done.. the Jersey was also a way nice
bonus.

I had a great time on S2S. Almaden
Bike Club does a fantastic job in organizing and supporting one the best bike
tours I have been on. I especially enjoy the route selection and the roads that
are chosen. Using back roads with little traffic is excellent. The food was also
very nutritious and tasty. The rest stops were well stocked and the peanut
butter and jelly was greatly appreciated as a power booster. This was my second
time doing S2S, and both times were a wonderful experience and I would do it
again.

I would like to thank all the ACTC
staff for the best bicycle tour I've been on to date. I always thought San Diego
was the bicycle capital of the U.S. but I was wrong. You guys up in Northern
California have really got it together. You've got a fantastic club and all
kinds of places to ride.
I was a little apprehensive about
coming up by myself to do this tour and not knowing anyone, but I got over that
in a hurry. I started meeting and talking to people as soon as I got on the bus.
I'm sure I'll have life-long friends as a result of this tour. You bet I'll be
back up there for more of your rides.
You clearly have things wired after
many years of practice. It's very obvious to me that you take the registration
fee and plow it back into providing a well organized and excellent tour. The
food was well beyond anything I could have imagined. Buckhorn catering provided
the best food. The barbeque ribs and chicken were scrumptious and tasted doubly
good if you were a hungry biker.
Finally, the ride into San
Francisco across the Golden Gate bridge is a spectacular finish for the tour.
How did you manage to arrange for a sunny clear day in San Francisco? Must be
good Karma. Anyways please keep it going. Thanks for a wonderful tour.
