Meet Your 2008 Sierra to the Sea Staff

Ann and Franz

Miguel returns for his 5th year as Tour Director and his 12th Sierra to the
Sea. Miguel enjoys cycling and resolving management challenges, but mostly
cycling.
  Randall returns for his 4th tour and his third with Routes. Randall published three cycling guides in the late 80's covering the Gold Country, Napa wine country, the Delta and the Sierra from Lake Tahoe through Yosemite.  His nickname back with the Davis bike club "Rand-all McNally".   Ann joins the staff handling Registration. Franz will be on his 4th tour, again handling the Sierra to the Sea Website and Online Registration. Both love ultra distance running and cycling. In 2007 Franz completed the Boston Marathon and the Furnace Creek 508.
         
Sandy   Bill  
Sandy joins for her 2nd tour. She has taken on the assignment of Catering.   Bill returns for his 7th tour. As he did last year, he will be the Transportation Director.   Leroy is Deuputy Transportation Director.
         
John    
John returns for his 6th Sierra to the Sea tour. He is the Ride Coordinator and Club Clothier for ACTC and handled the Clothing and related items for this year's Sierra to the Sea tour as he has done since 2002.   Steve joins the staff this year after participating as a guest previously. He will be handling Camping.   John and Cory returns for their 2nd tour and second year on staff. This year John will be the Bicycle Technician and Cory will be handling Provisioning of the SAG vehicles and rest stops. Cory is a bicycle transportation planner and John makes custom bicycles.
         
 
Marguerite   Shanna   Rita Hernandez
Marguerite returns for her 3rd tour again as one of the tour Massage Therapists. She is a world class swimmer, avid cyclist and former professional triathlete. Her full time profession is graphic designer and will once again design this year's Sierra to the Sea jersey.   Shanna joins for her 2nd a tour as one of the tour Massage Therapist. She is a world class swimmer and a 2006 World Champion in the 200 meter back. She also competes in triathlons and loves to surf.   Rita and her team will once again be in charge of that fabulous lunch in Golden Gate Park at the conclusion of the tour.
         
Gear Handling
Rapheal   Caset    
Raphael will be joining us again this year as the Truck Driver, carrying your gear. We are glad he is joining our team.   Casey will return again this year, working with Raphael handling your gear. Casey has been on more Sierra to the Sea tours than just about anyone.
